Talk about small things that make a big difference.
Over 20 million Hershey's Kisses are wrapped in 133 square miles of aluminum foil each day. That's a lot of landfill waste we can kiss goodbye by recycling.
Speaking of "deep in the ground..."
A used aluminum can is recycled and back on the grocery store shelf as a new can in as little as 60 days. If they were thrown in the garbage, they'd still be deep in the ground 500 years from now.
